Safeguard Blood and Laboratory Products

Available exclusively through Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies in Australia and New Zealand, these medical-grade freezers are manufactured by B Medical Systems, a leader in biomedical refrigeration. Designed not only to maintain constant temperatures throughout the entire internal space, these freezers also safeguard against unforeseen events such as power outages.

Many of the models available are a part of the B Medical Green line, which use natural gas refrigerants and offer 40 to 60 percent lower energy consumption (as compared to the B-Medical Systems Gold range).*

Blood Bank Freezers


Reliable Storage for Plasma Products
These freezers are ideally suited to safely store temperature-sensitive plasma products by providing a consistent internal temperature distribution.

  • Select the temperature you need, from −32 ºC to −41 ºC for the FR series and from −20 °C to −86 °C for the MF series
  • Intelligent hot gas defrost system ensures stable temperature (FR 110 GG and MF 755 GG use manual defrost)
  • Built-in monitoring and recording track temperatures according to certification standards
  • Safety features include operator alarms, a locking door and a key-operated power switch
  • Holdover time up to 3 hours, with backup battery providing additional 48 hours of temperature monitoring



Shock Freezers


Rapid Lowering of Product Temperature
Designed for the fast freezing of plasma, these high-performance contact shock freezers reduce the core temperature of preparations to −30 oC within 30 to 60 minutes (depending on the number of bags and the ambient temperature).

  • Rapid freezing time makes plasma readily available for additional processing or storage
  • Efficient air or water condenser minimizes the risk of ruptured bags
  • Successive batches can be frozen without the need to defrost the freezer
  • Flexible design enables you to load bags as a single or a double layer
  • Double-plate design creates more contact area for efficient freezing
  • Flat-freezing method allows for optimal storage capacity
