Discovery Never Stops

We share a passion for thinking in new and different ways. Our natural curiosity brings us closer to unlocking the potential of blood, transforming scientific understanding into practical application.

Today, we hold more than 700 patents and nearly 100 pending patents in the areas of apheresis collections, manual and automated whole blood processing, pathogen reduction, therapeutic apheresis and cell processing.

To make the most of our significant research and development investment, we are committed to close collaboration internally, across departments and regions, and with our customers. We also work with thought leaders and industry associations to develop innovations and apply them to our products and services. Our work and commitment to open dialog help connect investigators to each other and to additional resources. When a breakthrough happens, we are on hand to help bring awareness to these efforts, lending our expertise and guidance to investigators as they seek publication of their studies.

This approach furthers scientific understanding and will lead to more treatment options for patients.


In support of our commitment to advancing treatment options for patients, we pioneered an annual grant program to encourage discovery in the field of therapeutic apheresis.

Advancing Apheresis Award

Together with our customers, we are advancing apheresis to ultimately benefit the patients we all serve. This award provides an annual educational grant of $10,000 to the applicant that best displays a dedication to advancing apheresis.
