LAKEWOOD, Colo.—September 28, 2010— CaridianBCT, a leading global provider of technology, products and services in the blood banking, transfusion medicine and cell therapy industries, today announced it has installed the largest private, commercial solar installation by a medical device company in the state of Colorado.

The solar panel installation will provide 183 million kilowatts or approximately two percent of CaridianBCT's electricity requirements, an amount which equates to the removal of 550,000 lbs. of CO2 annually, or the equivalent of 14 average households.
The Colorado Renewable Energy Society (CRES), the Colorado chapter of the American Solar Energy Society, recently took a tour of CaridianBCT's facility as part of their efforts to increase awareness of the economic and environmental benefits of renewable energy.
